Spay Day 2009 - Spotlight: Bully Breeds
Spay Day 2009 was a success!
We sterilized 28 PitBulls and helped spread the word about the importance of sterilization and responsible PitBull ownership. We want to thank our co-hosts and volunteers for their help and support in making this event a success. We also raised money to continue this service for individuals in need of assistance. Spay Day 2010 - Spotlight: Puppies
On February 23, 2010 the Rascal Unit and Rascal Charities will celebrate Spay Day by hosting a puppy event. We will be spreading the word about the importance of early sterilization in preventing health and behavior problems. We will also address the importance of puppy wellness visits and training in increasing the chance of puppies retaining their forever home.
We will offer surgeries for puppies 3 to 6 months of age for a cost to the owner of $25. In addition to the surgery, this price includes:

1.DHLPP vaccine (if due)

2.Rabies vaccine (if due)

3.Interceptor puppy pack - Heartworm and intestinal parasite preventive

4.Flea treatment if fleas are seen

5.24 Pet Watch Microchip

Surgery appointments for this day can be made through our sponsors or at Rascal. Appointments made at the Rascal Unit must present picture id and proof of financial need (see qualifying guidelines 2 & 3)
